Stopper system is normally used in tundish for con-casting of slab and bloom. Through adjusting the slot between the stopper and the upper nozzle, the steel flowing rate could be controlled. During the casting, there will be some erosion on the stopper and upper nozzle. So the quality of the upper nozzle is very important to tundish life.
